About the Role
ALDWYCH CONSULTING LTD is recruiting an experienced Commercial Manager on behalf of a leading UK infrastructure contractor for a permanent position in Ashford, Kent. You will support the delivery of a major, long-term infrastructure programme, taking ownership of the commercial function across a complex project. This senior role involves working closely with operational and project leadership to oversee commercial performance and support successful delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide commercial leadership across the project, aligning commercial priorities with delivery objectives.
- Oversee financial performance, including cost control, forecasting and commercial reporting.
- Identify and manage commercial risks and opportunities throughout the project lifecycle.
- Manage contractual matters and changes, supporting sound commercial decision-making.
- Work closely with senior operational and project leaders to monitor progress and address commercial challenges.
What You'll Need
- Experience in commercial management within infrastructure or construction.
- The ability to take ownership of the commercial function on a complex project.
- Strong financial management skills, including budgeting, forecasting and cost reporting.
- A sound understanding of construction contracts and commercial risk management.
- Strong leadership, communication and negotiation skills, with confidence working alongside senior stakeholders.
