About the Role
Optima UK is recruiting an experienced CNC Router Programmer for a permanent, day-shift role in Hinckley, Leicestershire. You will join an established and growing business specialising in high-end joinery and interior fit-out work. Based in a modern, well-equipped workshop, you will help produce components for bespoke projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Programme CNC routers to produce components for bespoke joinery and interior fit-out projects.
- Interpret technical drawings and specifications to develop accurate machining programmes.
- Support machine set-up, selecting suitable tooling and machining settings for each job.
- Check machined components against project requirements and make programme adjustments where needed.
- Work closely with workshop colleagues to maintain quality and efficient production.
- Follow safe working practices and help maintain an organised workshop.
What You'll Need
- Previous experience programming CNC routers in a manufacturing or workshop environment.
- The ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
- A practical understanding of CNC machining, tooling and set-up.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively with workshop colleagues.
- A willingness to develop your skills, including through Inventor training.
