About the Role
Rapier is recruiting Class 2 (HGV 2) Drivers for home deliveries with a client in Exeter, Devon. This is a temporary-to-permanent opportunity with full-time hours available, welcoming both experienced and newly qualified drivers. The shift pattern is Wednesday to Sunday, with 6am starts, and an immediate start is available.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out home deliveries safely and efficiently using a Class 2 vehicle.
- Complete vehicle checks and report any faults or safety concerns.
- Handle goods carefully during delivery, following safe working practices.
- Provide a professional and courteous service to customers at their homes.
- Maintain accurate delivery records and communicate any delays or issues to the transport team.
- Follow road traffic legislation, drivers’ hours rules and company procedures.
What You'll Need
- A valid Category C (Class 2) driving licence.
- Valid Driver CPC and a digital tachograph card.
- Availability to work Wednesday to Sunday with 6am starts.
- A safety-conscious approach to driving and handling deliveries.
- Good communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
- A reliable approach to work; newly qualified drivers are welcome to apply.
