About the Role
Gregory is recruiting a Class 1 Tramper for a permanent role based in Ecclefechan, near Lockerbie, Dumfries & Galloway. Working a 5-out-of-7 shift pattern, you will carry out deliveries across the UK, transporting loads including palletised goods, timber and empty tanks. This role suits a UK Class 1 C+E licence holder who is comfortable with tramping and nights away from home.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out Class 1 deliveries to destinations across the UK.
- Transport a range of loads, including palletised goods, timber and empty tanks.
- Complete vehicle checks and report defects promptly.
- Ensure loads are secure and follow safe loading and unloading procedures.
- Maintain accurate delivery records and comply with drivers’ hours and tachograph requirements.
- Communicate professionally with the transport team and customers throughout each journey.
What You'll Need
- A UK Class 1 C+E driving licence.
- The relevant Driver CPC qualification and digital tachograph card.
- Availability to work a 5-out-of-7 shift pattern, including nights away as part of a tramping role.
- A sound understanding of road safety, load security and drivers’ hours regulations.
- A reliable approach, good communication skills and the ability to work independently.
