About the Role
Gregory is recruiting a Class 1 Night Driver for a permanent role based in Birtley, near Chester-le-Street, County Durham. Working a 4-on, 4-off night shift pattern, you will use a curtain sider trailer for a varied range of transport tasks, including local palletised deliveries. You will help ensure goods reach their destinations safely and on time.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive a Class 1 vehicle with a curtain sider trailer on night shifts.
- Complete local palletised deliveries and other transport tasks safely and efficiently.
- Check that goods are loaded correctly and secured to prevent movement or damage in transit.
- Use straps, nets and other load-securing equipment as required.
- Carry out comprehensive daily vehicle safety checks and report any defects.
- Follow applicable road transport regulations and safe working procedures.
What You'll Need
- A valid UK Class 1 C+E driving licence.
