About the Role
Ignition Driver Recruitment is recruiting Class 1 Drivers for permanent roles in Rochdale, Greater Manchester, working with a leading UK supermarket chain. You will carry out no-touch trunking runs between distribution centres. Various shifts are available, with start times between 02:00–05:00 and 09:00–12:00.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete Class 1 trunking runs between distribution centres safely and efficiently.
- Carry out pre-journey vehicle checks and report any defects promptly.
- Follow planned routes and delivery schedules, communicating any delays.
- Maintain accurate driving records and relevant transport paperwork.
- Comply with drivers’ hours, tachograph requirements and site safety procedures.
What You'll Need
- A valid Class 1 (C+E) driving licence.
- At least 12 months’ Class 1 driving experience.
- Valid Driver CPC and digital tachograph credentials.
- A sound understanding of road safety and drivers’ hours regulations.
- A reliable, professional approach and availability for the advertised shift times.

- Advertised annual salary of £53,809, with hourly pay rates of £20.66–£29.06.
- A minimum of eight hours’ pay and overtime after 43.75 hours.
