About the Role
Job&Talent is recruiting HGV Class 1 Drivers for contract work in Chesterfield, Derbyshire (S43 3FG). This opportunity is open to drivers with at least 12 months’ Class 1 experience, with hourly pay rates from £17.33 to £23.38. Ongoing work and temporary-to-permanent opportunities are available, alongside flexible start times.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive HGV Class 1 vehicles safely and professionally.
- Complete collections and deliveries in line with agreed schedules.
- Carry out vehicle safety checks and report defects promptly.
- Ensure loads are secure and relevant transport paperwork is completed accurately.
- Follow drivers’ hours, tachograph and road safety regulations.
- Communicate with the transport team about progress and any delays.
What You'll Need
- A valid HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) driving licence.
- At least 12 months’ Class 1 driving experience.
- A valid Driver CPC qualification and digital tachograph card.
- A good understanding of drivers’ hours and vehicle safety requirements.
- A reliable, safety-focused approach and clear communication skills.
