About the Role
Pertemps Ltd is recruiting HGV Class 1 (C+E) drivers in Aston, Birmingham, to support Royal Mail’s nationwide depot-to-depot trunking operations. This full-time opportunity is offered on a temporary, ongoing basis, with work available for the remainder of 2026. Key Responsibilities
- Complete HGV Class 1 trunking journeys between Royal Mail depots.
- Transport loads safely and follow planned routes and delivery schedules.
- Carry out vehicle safety checks and report any defects promptly.
- Comply with drivers’ hours, tachograph requirements and road transport regulations.
- Maintain accurate journey records and communicate professionally with depot teams.
What You'll Need
- A valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) driving licence.
- A valid Driver CPC qualification and digital tachograph card.
- The driving skills and safety awareness needed for nationwide trunking work.
- A sound understanding of drivers’ hours and vehicle safety requirements.
