About the Role
Woodside Logistics Group is looking for a professional Class 1 (C+E) Enclosed Car Transporter Operator to join its Woodside Motorfreight team in Thorne, near Doncaster, South Yorkshire. You will transport vehicles for the motor industry, supporting manufacturers, dealer networks and auction houses throughout the UK and Ireland. This contract role offers Monday to Friday tramping shifts, with a focus on quality, compliance and efficient service.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive a Class 1 enclosed car transporter safely and professionally across the UK and Ireland.
- Load, secure and unload vehicles carefully, following safe operating procedures.
- Carry out vehicle checks and report any defects or transport-related issues promptly.
- Complete collection and delivery paperwork accurately, recording vehicle condition where required.
- Comply with drivers’ hours, tachograph requirements and relevant road transport regulations.
- Communicate professionally with customers and the transport team to support reliable deliveries.
What You'll Need
- A valid Class 1 (C+E) driving licence and the relevant professional driving qualifications.
- A safety-conscious approach and a strong understanding of transport compliance.
- Care and attention to detail when handling and transporting vehicles.
- Good communication skills and a professional manner when representing the business.
- Availability for Monday to Friday tramping and travel throughout the UK and Ireland.
