About the Role
Area Camden is seeking an experienced and committed Registered Manager to lead an established five-bed children's home in St Pancras, Central London. You will provide confident leadership, helping to ensure children receive safe, consistent and supportive care. Area Camden has been an Ofsted-rated Outstanding and Good provider since 2014. This is a full-time role working 40 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the day-to-day running of the home, keeping children's safety, wellbeing and individual needs at the centre of decisions.
- Manage, support and develop the staff team to deliver high standards of care.
- Oversee safeguarding practice and ensure concerns are recognised and addressed appropriately.
- Maintain compliance with relevant children's home regulations and Ofsted requirements.
- Oversee care planning, record keeping and quality monitoring, identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Build effective working relationships with children, families, social workers and other professionals.
What You'll Need
- Two to three years of management experience, with the ability to lead a children's residential care service.
- A strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting children's welfare.
- Knowledge of the regulatory framework and quality standards for children's homes.
- Confident leadership skills and the ability to support and motivate a staff team.
- Strong communication, organisational and decision-making skills.
- A child-centred approach to providing stable, supportive care.
