About the Role
ETAB-RECRUITS LIMITED is recruiting a Catering Manager on behalf of a contract catering business for a large education site in the New Forest, in the Brockenhurst area of Hampshire. This permanent, full-time role offers an experienced catering professional the opportunity to lead a busy and varied operation. You will oversee day-to-day service, supporting your team to deliver high standards of food quality, safety and customer care.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the daily catering operation, ensuring an efficient and reliable service.
- Lead and support the catering team, organising workloads and staffing to meet service requirements.
- Maintain food hygiene, health and safety, and allergen management standards.
- Oversee stock control, ordering and food waste to support cost-effective delivery.
- Work with site contacts to understand catering needs and respond to feedback.
- Monitor food quality and presentation, identifying opportunities to improve service.
What You'll Need
- Experience managing a busy catering operation, ideally within education or contract catering.
- Strong team leadership and organisational skills.
- A sound understanding of food safety, hygiene and allergen requirements.
- Experience controlling catering costs, stock and resources.
- Clear communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
- The ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining consistent standards.
