About the Role
Outcomes First Group is seeking a Bespoke Teacher to join Dibden Park School in Southampton, Hampshire, SO45 5TD, starting in October 2026. You’ll provide highly personalised, trauma-informed teaching for pupils who may find traditional classroom approaches challenging. This permanent, term-time-only role involves working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, within an organisation that puts team wellbeing first.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver personalised teaching that responds to individual pupils’ needs.
- Use trauma-informed approaches to create a supportive learning environment.
- Adapt lessons and resources to help pupils access learning and build confidence.
- Develop positive relationships that encourage engagement and participation.
- Monitor pupils’ progress and adjust teaching approaches accordingly.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to support pupils’ learning and wellbeing.
What You'll Need
- The ability to deliver teaching tailored to individual learning needs.
- An understanding of trauma-informed practice and its application in education.
- A patient, flexible approach to supporting pupils who find conventional teaching approaches difficult.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive working relationships.
- A commitment to pupils’ progress, confidence and wellbeing.
- To be a UK-based applicant with the right to work in the UK; sponsorship is not available.
