We are looking for a Behaviour Mentor to join an inclusive, forward-thinking secondary school with sixth form in Hammersmith & Fulham.
This is an excellent opportunity for a compassionate graduate with previous experience supporting young people with behavioural or emotional needs, or someone looking to develop their experience within a strong pastoral and behaviour support setting.
As a Behaviour Mentor, you will provide targeted 1:1 and small-group mentoring to pupils across secondary and sixth form. You will work closely with teachers, the SENDCO, and the wider pastoral team to implement individual behaviour support plans, support pupils through de-escalation and restorative conversations, and help pupils successfully reintegrate following incidents or periods of absence.
Behaviour Mentor Requirements: Holds a 2:1 or 1st Class degree Has previous child-centred experience working with young people with behavioural or emotional needs in a UK school or educational setting Is calm, resilient, empathetic, and confident supporting pupils with complex needs Has strong interpersonal and communication skills Can build consistent, trusted, and positive relationships with young people Has a genuine passion for helping pupils make positive choices and achieve their potential You'll be joining a supportive school with a strong pastoral culture, specialist CPD in restorative practice, trauma-informed approaches, and behaviour support strategies. You'll also benefit from a structured induction, ongoing mentoring from experienced pastoral and SEND practitioners, and strong support from the school's leadership and pastoral teams.
