About the Role
Outcomes First Group is seeking a Behaviour and Learning Mentor to join Baston House School in Bromley, Kent, BR2 7AB. You’ll support learners who may experience barriers to behaviour, learning and communication, helping them engage positively with school life. This permanent, term-time-only role is due to start in October 2026.
Key Responsibilities
- Support learners to overcome barriers to learning and participation.
- Encourage positive behaviour through calm, consistent guidance.
- Build supportive relationships that help learners develop confidence and engagement.
- Help learners communicate their needs and participate in learning activities.
- Work collaboratively with school colleagues to support learners’ individual needs.
What You'll Need
- A patient, empathetic approach to supporting learners.
- An understanding of how behaviour and communication needs can affect learning.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships.
- The ability to work collaboratively and respond calmly to challenging situations.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting learners’ wellbeing.
- To be a UK-based applicant with the right to work in the UK, as sponsorship is not available.
What's on Offer
- A salary of £27,000 per annum, not pro rata.
- A permanent, term-time-only contract.
- 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with advertised working times of 8.30am to 4.30pm.
