About the Role
PeoplePlus is looking for a motivated and experienced Assistant Manager – Vocational to support high-quality education within a prison environment in Oakham, Rutland. Working as part of the senior management team, you will support the Education Manager in driving performance and helping your team deliver effective vocational learning. This permanent role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to learners’ rehabilitation and future employability.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Education Manager with the delivery and day-to-day coordination of vocational education.
- Lead and support the teaching team to maintain high standards of learning.
- Monitor delivery and learner progress, helping to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Contribute to the senior management team’s work to improve educational performance.
- Help ensure vocational learning develops skills that support rehabilitation and future employment.
- Promote a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment within the prison setting.

- Relevant experience in education or vocational training, with the ability to support high-quality delivery.
- Leadership skills and the confidence to motivate and support a team.
